Rogerson Day Progams
The Day Program at Rogerson House helps people who are still living at home maintain
physical and cognitive abilities. Participants are engaged in a program
that maximizes their abilities and promotes a sense of accomplishment.
The Day Program is open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Extended hours are available. Transportation can be arranged. Day Program services are private-pay.
Daily activities emphasize the positive, build on abilities and
enhance self-esteem:
Community outings take advantage of Boston's cultural and recreational
offerings.
Discussion, poetry or writing groups encourage self expression.
Creative music programs promote reminiscing.
Gardening in raised beds and fosters outdoor
recreation and enjoyment of nature.
Walking
groups around Jamaica Pond or in our secure, spacious garden area.
Backyard
barbecues, birthday parties and catered dinners.
Creative cooking groups.
Opera, voice and musical theater students from The
Boston Conservatory perform at Rogerson House five times a year as part
of the performing arts series.
